KITFO Film Festival expanded to Addis Ababa January 2025 in partnership with Prestige Addis at the U.S. Embassy, and the Italian Cultural Institute. Drawing over 500 attendees, the festival marked a historic moment for Ethiopian and Eritrean cinema at home for a one day event. Through screenings, panels, and community gatherings, the Addis edition honored local storytellers, bridged connections with the diaspora, and affirmed the global resonance of East African film.
